MBY spherical roller thrust bearings, typically, are able to accommodate heavy axial loads in one direction and heavy radial loads at relatively high speeds. From the perspective of the internal design, rollers have shape conformity with raceways to distribute loads along the roller length. Meanwhile, spherical rollers are arranged in a steep angular position, which permits to accommodate high thrust loads and support moderate radial loads. In other words, the loads are able to distribute between the raceways at an angle to the bearing axis.

On the other hand, raceways of YGB spherical roller thrust bearings are spherical with the center of the radius located on the bearing axis. The design provides self- alignment capability to the bearing. Typically, spherical roller thrust bearings are self-aligning and insensitive to static misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing.
